Thank you. 🙏🏻🫶🏻🤞🏻I also have a full time editorial job so it could be madness but I figure why not take the opportunities I find? But UK work hours are nowhere near as high as US ones so I do find I have a couple of hours of writing time each morning and the weekends. 😅 And sometimes I just choose to do nothing and/or read novels. ☺️

I hear you. I suspect Italians' concept of drinking is variable and a few beers are not even considered drinking. By the people. I think police would disagree.

🤣😅 Do Italians drive after a few beers usually? I think the case has also been made that driving whilst sleep deprived is worse than driving whilst intoxicated but I guess one would hope fewer people do it. 🤔

:S I'm afraid mountain people have a certain % of alcohol built in their system

A few friends and I got a lift off Lookout Mountain, TN, after a wedding. It was only when she picked up more beer at the gas station that we thought ‘hmm… she may not be the designated driver we thought she was’.

On that note I never understand the selling of alcohol in gas stations, it happens in Spain too

This is definitely still a problem. I have friend who lost 4 of his friends on New Year's Eve 2024 in rural South Carolina because a drunk driver hit their car as they were on their way to hang out with him and their other friends. It's devastating.

😱😭😭😭 Omg what a truly tragic and horrific story. I wish there was better public transport or at least cheaper options. I haven’t lived in the US for over a decade now but maybe Uber is available and cheaper?
