Why am I chronicling my life via the story of my dating disasters and my failed marriage, leading to my journey to my amazing current husband? (May not pass the Bechdel test)
I think your story will be interesting and beautiful to read. :)
Also, when I knew you (back at the DMC in Valdosta), I always thought you were so stylish and pretty. However, I absolutely identify with not being able to see that in yourself until you're older. <3
As my Great Grandmother Eva used to say, “you can’t put an old head on young shoulders.” And others say “youth is wasted on the young.” It’s a shame that when we are young and vibrant we spend so much time thinking we aren’t and being crippled with insecurities. I think people thought I was confident outwardly but I wasn’t. Thank you for the compliment, lovely. 😘 You and L were the cool older girls and seemed so bonded in friendship already. ☺️
A beautiful and vulnerable read, thank you Elaine! Relationship journeys & the personal growth that unfolds within them are so fascinating. Excited to follow along your journey! Also, your grandad sounds like a legend <3
Thanks so much for reading, Lizzie. 🫶🏻 My Grandad was a legend ❤️ (thanks) and I certainly learned a lot from all my dating disasters (with a few successes in there). 🤔☺️😅
I must say I am impressed how much you wrote in your first post. I could only write 300 words or so. It's a sign there is a lava to be cooled down. I am here to reading more of you.
Thanks so much! I love this analogy. 🤩 Thanks for subscribing and I hope A) you like what you read and B) you write more on here since you say you are published and had your own Wordpress you kept up with for years. 🫶🏻
Ha ha, it just felt like that ;) I am sure I am going to enjoy it. Yeah published in smaller ways ;) (self-published) and one or two magazine stuff. Working towards more. Thanks for connecting :)
And the story begins x
Heh! Thanks for following along, beautiful friend.

Glad you are doing this. I’m excited to read it!
You are a writer, through and through, Elaine! You write from a place of such openness. 💛
Omg! Thanks for reading my post, Evelyn. 🤩 Loved The Hundred Loves of Juliet and can’t wait to work my way through all your books. 😍🫶🏻🥳
